The LeFevre Quartet Prepares for a Special Year in 2025

Time often feels like it moves faster when life is full of joy, and that has been true for The LeFevre Quartet. This group, known for their heartfelt music, is gearing up for a significant milestone.

Mike LeFevre, Baritone of the quartet, shared his excitement about what lies ahead. “2025 is a big year for LeFavre Quartet. We’re celebrating 20 years as the LeFavre Quartet and so that’s exciting. So we’ll be doing some special things throughout the year. Should the Lord not call us on, then we’re just going to be doing a lot of stuff. And if He does call us on, then we’re going to be doing a lot of fun stuff in heaven,” he said.

This upcoming anniversary is not just a celebration of longevity but also a reflection of their dedication to their faith and music. Fans can look forward to various events and projects that the group has planned to mark this important year.

As the new year approaches, The LeFevre Quartet has also released a new song with a powerful message: Things We Cannot Change. The lyrics speak to the constancy of truth and faith amid life’s uncertainties: “He is the one truth that remains through the things we cannot change.”

Understanding God’s Love and Justice Through Jesus

God’s love and justice may seem at odds when it comes to human sin, but they are beautifully reconciled through Jesus Christ. Despite our transgressions against God’s laws, His deep love for us compelled Him to provide a way for salvation. This path, however, had to satisfy His perfect justice.

The solution came in an act of divine sacrifice. God Himself, in the person of Jesus, entered our world. Born of a virgin, Jesus was both fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life and then willingly bore the punishment for our sins on the cross. This supreme act of love fulfilled the demands of justice, as the penalty for sin was paid in full.

Through Christ’s sacrifice, God demonstrated His love while upholding His justice. As the apostle Paul writes in Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Now, because of Jesus’ work, we can receive forgiveness and eternal life. God remains both loving and just, having provided a way for sinners to be reconciled to Him without compromising His righteous standards.

OPP Investigates Church Theft in Southern Georgian Bay

A church in Victoria Harbour fell victim to a break-in and theft just before the New Year. The Southern Georgian Bay OPP is now seeking the public’s help to solve the crime.

On December 30, 2024, staff at St. Mary’s Church discovered that someone had broken into the building overnight. The culprits smashed a window to gain entry and made off with $1,500 worth of grocery gift cards, according to a press release.

The stolen gift cards, valued at $30 and $60 each, can be used at Foodland and No Frills stores.

As the investigation continues, the community is urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

Deception in the Last Days: A Warning for Believers

In discussions about the Second Coming, many focus on tribulation, war, and judgment. However, a crucial aspect often overlooked is deception. Jesus himself emphasized the prevalence of mass deception in the end times, particularly in Matthew 24. He cautioned his followers to be vigilant, stating, “Take heed that no man deceive you” (NASB).

This warning raises questions about the vulnerability of true believers to misleading influences. While it’s possible for Christians to be temporarily led astray, especially those new to the faith, the Bible assures us that those who genuinely belong to Christ will not be permanently deceived.
The Apostle Paul addresses this issue in Ephesians 4:14, comparing new believers to children who can be easily swayed by false teachings. This underscores the importance of spiritual growth and maturity in resisting deception.

Looking ahead to the future, Matthew 24 describes a time of intense deception. However, it also offers reassurance that God will protect His chosen ones by limiting the duration of this deceptive period. This divine intervention prevents even the elect from being hopelessly misled.

In our present day, the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in safeguarding believers against deception. This protection extends into the future, where God’s constraining power will continue to shield His people from ultimate deception.

As we navigate these challenging times, it’s essential for believers to remain grounded in their faith, grow in spiritual maturity, and trust in God’s protective care.

Tribute Quartet Takes Unusual Approach to New Single

Tribute Quartet has made an interesting choice for their latest radio single. Instead of releasing a new song, they have decided to use a track from an earlier album.

Josh Singletary, Baritone vocalist and pianist, explained this uncommon decision. He said, “We actually decided to go with a single from Volume 1 of our Quartet Tribute series. Come on, let’s go to that land. Old Rex Neelan song.”

Singletary pointed out that it’s not usual for a group to choose a song from a previous album as a radio single. However, Tribute Quartet had a special reason for this choice.

The group is planning a new tour for 2025 called “Tribute Quartet’s Quartet Tribute tour.” To prepare for this tour, they wanted to include their new members on the first volume of their Quartet Tribute series.

“We decided to put the new guys on the first volume. They are who is with us and They love those songs. They really love singing those songs,” Singletary explained.

This decision allows the current group members to be featured on the album they will be promoting during the tour. Singletary added, “So we thought you know what for this tour Let’s put them on that album. So when we carry it, it’s them. It’s the current group.
