Texas Gospel Canada plays a blend of Southern Gospel and Country Gospel music. We call it Texas Gospel. Southern Gospel has its roots in the Southeast region of the United States where singing conventions featured gospel quartets and family groups. Country Gospel Music is a similar style, but with a much stronger emphasis on solo artists, many of whom are from Texas. The music broadcast by Texas Gospel Canada is not the main emphasis of its operator.
The station’s goal is to encourage Christians in a world increasingly hostile to Christian belief. While the station does carry some outreach-oriented material such as public service announcements provided by the Need Him organization, most of the non-music programming is produced for those who have already accepted Jesus as their savior. Our short features include programming from The Good News Broadcasting Association of Canada such as Laugh Again and Back to the Bible. Here is a schedule of short features heard on Texas Gospel Canada.
Our station also produces short thought-provoking segments that focus on apologetics, understanding scripture and illumination of the daily persecution believers face that often goes under the radar of the mainstream. Edification of the Body of Christ is the station’s primary objective.
Texas Gospel Canada broadcast streams are owned by TorontoCast and are fully licensed by SOCAN.
