Happy birthday this week to Bradley Littlejohn of Paid in Full!

This week the Perrys announced Jamie Streetman has joined the group just before their recording of a project they hope to release mid-year.

Due to, “unforeseen circumstances,” 11th Hour has canceled a concert set for February 2nd and 3rd.  The cancelation has opened up the dates on the group’s available concert schedule.

Texas Gospel Canada is saddened to report the passing of Angel Borden, wife of former Gold City bass guitarist Adam Borden.

The Erwins had unforeseen issues come up leading to cancellation of set concerts January 21 & 23.

The Isaacs canceled concerts planed for Jan 21 & 22 due to weather conditions.

Happy 27th Anniversary to Scott and Rachel of  The Kramers!

McKamey Legacy this week announced the group has signed a contract with Horizon Records and will release a new song on February 4!

Tonja Rose had to move a concert originally scheduled for Jan 23 to the following weekend due to weather conditions.

Sunday Drive’s next release is set for January 28. The single is titled Grace & Goodness.

StowTown Records Signs Sunday Drive to Roster of Artists

Nashville, TN (January 4, 2022) – StowTown Records is excited to announce the signing of Sunday Drive, a multi-award winning group composed of Jeff Treece and his wife, Misty, and brother, Dusty. They are no strangers to gospel music and come to the label with a wealth of industry experience, including numerous radio hits. As a featured artist at the Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, TN, they sing to several thousand fans each year.

StowTown co-founder and industry veteran, Ernie Haase, shared his enthusiasm about the addition of Sunday Drive to their stellar roster of artists, “When we started StowTown Records over 10 years ago, it was always about making music and helping friends make their music known. Sunday Drive fits our mission statement perfectly. I’ve known Jeff Treece for many years, and I have always been drawn to his musical talents. Their first StowTown project, Breaking Boundaries, is produced by multi-Dove award winning producer, Wayne Haun, and is slated for a Spring 2022 release. The new recording includes nine original songs by some of gospel music’s most prolific songwriters, including two songs co-written by Jeff Treece. Looking toward a bright future with StowTown, Jeff shared his excitement about the new collaboration, “Misty, Dusty and I are beyond excited about our new partnership with StowTown Records. Beloved Gospel Music Hall of Fame Member, Rick Price, Passes Away from Covid

DETROIT, MI (January 2022) – A small, private funeral will be held in Detroit in January, and an open Celebration of Life concert and memorial service will be held in Nashville in early Spring. 

Rick Price spent much of his early career with the Grammy and Dove Award winning Blackwood Brothers, and was subsequently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the legendary quartet.

For the past 23 years, Rick has been traveling across the U.S. with his own group, carrying on the grand tradition of Southern Gospel music. In 2016 Rick changed the group name from Blackwood Legacy to New Legacy Project, recognizing that it was time to break new ground and begin adding a contemporary touch to the traditional sound. 

Always open to new opportunities to minister, the beloved group is best known for their intricate harmonies, innovative arrangements, and humorous stage presence.
Longtime manager and tour coordinator, Bobbie Frye of Kingdom Artists Media says “I’ve never seen such an outpouring of affection. Rick always made everyone feel loved and important – a part of the NLP family. While he is deeply missed, it is heartwarming to know that his family, staff, and singers are joined by thousands of others in mourning his absence. We know where he’s singing now, and our loss is heaven’s gain.”

Rick specifically requested that the group sustain the calling and vision God put on his heart so many years ago. Joined by Rick’s son, Alex Price, New Legacy Project will continue his mission to tour and minister in churches of all sizes. They are committed to carrying on Rick’s legacy.
As Rick always said, “The road to the future is paved with memories of the past.” He will never be forgotten.

SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum Announces New Location

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (December 28, 2021) – After months of seeking God’s direction, the Southern Gospel Music Association is excited to announce an agreement with Biblical Times Theater to house the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum on their premises located at 2391 Parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The announcement was made this evening during a concert with Jonathan Wilburn, a board of member of the SGMA, at the Biblical Times Theater.

Kaylee Davis, creative director of Biblical Times, says: “On behalf of the owners, management and staff at Biblical Times, we are proud to welcome the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame Museum into our family! We strive to glorify the Lord in our nightly shows as we bring the stories of scripture to life and with southern gospel being rooted here in the Great Smoky Mountains, it only seems fitting that we join together. We look forward to what God has in store in the coming months and years with the museum, and praying it would bring joy and encouragement to all those who visit! Once again it is our honor to partner with the music that shares the greatest message in the whole world and to be the new home of the SGMA Museum.”

Legacy Five continues their 21-year journey with fresh wind in their sails. With the first track, “Welcome To Your Life,” the listener is drawn in as if during the hero’s adventure sequence in a movie. A full orchestra and big harmonies make this song truly inviting and exciting.  Staying true to their musical roots, there are a variety of traditional Southern Gospel and Country-flavored tunes which are sure to be fan favorites. But a stunningly simple, yet poignant moment on the album may be a surprise to some. “Jesus Wept” brings current events, historical events and personal moments all together under one umbrella: Jesus wept for all of us out of His deep love for us. It’s as if Scott Fowler is giving a sermon in one song. “Given, Buried, Risen,” the first radio single, was released on digital platforms last week and is quickly becoming another Legacy Five hit song.
