The Mark Trammell Quartet shared the following on social media:

Today is a bittersweet day in the life of our ministry. Randy Byrd is one of the best friends I have. Period. Not just a fellow worker of this ministry, but a dear friend. As many of you know, he has been; and is still, undergoing testing in Oklahoma for some unresolved non-cancerous health issues that have been causing him trouble and pain since last November. He is scheduled to have surgery in the next few weeks as well. His inability to travel is compounded by he, and both of his parents, having Covid. Both parents are having a difficult time with it. As he mentioned earlier this week, his heart is still here on the bus but it seems wisdom is telling him that his path to good health will cause him to have to stay at home, along with helping his family during this critical time.
Randy Byrd, I’ve never traveled with a more loyal, dedicated man. You’ve honored us and honored our Lord with the utmost dignity and dedication. I’m personally proud to call you friend and brother. I am praying God’s best for you in the months ahead. To say that you will be missed is an understatement. Get well, and meet me at the golf course!

We Love you,

The boys on the bus

Sunday Drive “Breaking Boundaries” with latest album release

SPECIAL: STOWTOWN RECORDS

Editor’s note: This article is written and supplied to Texas Gospel Canada by Stowtown Records.

Nashville, TN (April 8, 2022) – Sunday Drive, a Southern Gospel trio from East Tennessee, is seeing months of hard work and eager anticipation culminate with today’s release of their album, Breaking Boundaries. The sky is truly the limit for Jeff Treece, his wife Misty and brother, Dusty. Their new StowTown Records album is available at retail and digital music outlets worldwide and is distributed exclusively by Provident/Sony Distribution.

Sunday Drive is no stranger to gospel music.  They come to the label with a wealth of industry experience, including numerous hits songs. Their current radio single from this album, “Grace and Goodness,” recently debuted on the Singing News Top 80 chart and continues to gain steam. It has also ranked in the Top 10 on the Singing News Power 50 Weekly chart. With all of the focus they put into carefully selecting songs for their album, this success is no surprise.

The songs chosen are a top priority for Sunday Drive. Dusty Treece shares, “We couldn’t be more excited about our new Breaking Boundaries project. It is filled with encouraging and uplifting songs. When we heard them, they immediately ministered to us. As a group, we have always lived by the philosophy that a song needs to minister to us, before it can minister to others through us.” With offerings from industry songwriting giants like Bill & Gloria Gaither, Joel Lindsey, Jeff Steele, Tony Wood, Wayne Haun and Larry Gatlin, among many others, this selection of  songs provides a depth that, when coupled with stellar production, creates a top-notch album.

StowTown Records co-founder and album producer, Wayne Haun, treated the nine songs on this album with the same care and attention he gives every artist and album. But the relationship with this artist was different. Wayne explains, “I have known the Treece family pretty much all of my life. I grew up just down the road from Jeff and Dusty. We were constantly going to all-night sings. I was a big fan of their family group. Their late mother, Violet, was such a mentor to me. She encouraged me to continue songwriting even when I was just starting out, and my songs were horrible. For years, Jeff and I have talked about working together. It has been said many times that good things come to those who wait. And the time has finally come. I am so proud of what we have created. This is an album you just put on repeat and fall in love with over and over again.”

“God’s hand has been evident through it all,” Dusty continues, “from the song selection, to pre-production, to recording, to post-production. He ordered every step, and we can’t wait to see how He uses it to encourage listeners.”Breaking Boundaries is available for download and streaming HERE.

The inspiration behind Donna Ulisse’s new song

Jeff Turner / Daywind Records News Release

Highly-acclaimed Bluegrass Gospel artist Donna Ulisse says her grandmother is the inspiration behind her new song “Don’t Bury This Bible With Me.” She said the the lyrics revolve around a box of items her grandmother left for her.

“Everything I describe, the blanket, her picture, her broken pearls, I have all this stuff.” she said

“The thing that really brought me to my knees when I pulled it out of the box was a white leather Bible that she loved. She just always said I don’t wanna take this with me when i go I want to leave it on this earth. So I wrote he song Don’t Bury this Bible With me, in honor of Miss Martha.”

Don’t Bury this Bible With Me is the second release from Donna’s thirteenth studio album Livin’ Large. The CD is the second released by Billy Blue Records. It’s also the third album she’s produced by the legendary Doyle Lawson.

Listen for new music from The Lore Family

DAVID INGRAM

The Lore family has released a new song fresh off success the group has had with “The World Needs a Song.”

Texas Gospel Canada has added “I bring you Jesus” to the music lineup. The song is co-written by Marcia Henry, Rachel McCutcheon and Darren W. Lore. It’s a song the group often sings at the beginning of a concert.

“Folks immediately respond. I did a generic poll on social media. I asked what song really connected with those who had heard our project. ‘I Bring You Jesus’ was the top song!” said Darren Lore.

“My daughter Fayth sings the verses. My wife Sandy sings the choruses. We know this straight-forward, traditional, Southern-Gospel song has the touch of God on it. Thank you so much for adding this song to your airplay. I know if given spins, it will catch on quickly. A few weeks ago, I had a random phone call from a DJ (Rich Bruce/VA) who found ‘I Bring You Jesus’. He was ecstatic about the song. I trust the same will happen to you and your listeners.”
