Kingdom Heirs Heat Up Summer with New Singles

Arden, North Carolina (August 9, 2024) — The Kingdom Heirs, beloved for their Southern Gospel harmonies, are making waves this summer with a string of new releases. The renowned Sonlite Records quartet has been thrilling fans with their latest singles, ensuring the season is filled with uplifting music.

Their reimagined version of the classic “Come On In” has been steadily climbing the charts. Following this, the group released the energetic “No Better Time” with its horn-driven groove, and the reflective, country-tinged “Until Prayer Changes Me.” Known as the resident Southern Gospel group at Dollywood for nearly four decades, the Kingdom Heirs are now embracing their roots with a new song that pays homage to the genre’s pioneers.

“‘I Want To Live Like Jesus’ is a quintessential Southern Gospel quartet song penned by Ernie Haase and the late Dianne Wilkinson,” shares Chris Bryant, the group’s lead singer. “Performing this song is a joy, and we are eager to share it with everyone! When we discovered this song among those sent to us a few years ago, we instantly knew it was perfect for us. Dianne has contributed more songs to the Kingdom Heirs than anyone else. Seeing her name on this lyric brought smiles to our faces, and we believe she is smiling down on us, knowing her music continues to inspire.”

With these new singles, the Kingdom Heirs are keeping the spirit of Southern Gospel alive, delivering the timeless sound that their fans cherish.

Sure enough, “I Want To Live Like Jesus” announces its place in the tradition from the opening notes, with a gently swinging rhythm section backing pianist Trey Ivey setting up bass singer Brad Smith’s assertive testimony:

When the Lord first saved me, He gave me a love
For everything the Bible had to say
I learned about Jesus, and all He’s overcome
And that’s when I began to pray
“Master, teach me more than I ever knew before
Show me things I’ve never even seen
I want to follow You in everything I do
A disciple is what I want to be!

that leads to a chorus — and more — sure to remind listeners of the deepest, most solid foundations of the quartet sound.

“It’s a simple message in song,” says Bryant, “that reminds us that, after all He has done for us, we should make it our goal to live for Him and share His message with the world!”

Trammell Family Faces Health Crisis: Prayers Needed for LeResa Trammell

LaResa Trammell Update 8/12 12:00 AM
Today was very encouraging day! I understand that this can be a roller coaster, so today was an up. At this point, baby steps are huge, and she took several with little movements here and there. She would briefly open her eyes at times and would follow to one side before closing them again. She also could slightly move her feet. She responded to a stimulation test this evening by lifting her arms, which was a first. Every little movement and change in facial expression is such an exciting change considering there was nothing yesterday. We are finding out it could take days, or possibly even weeks before she becomes very alert. We are praying that it’s just days, but are prepared to just be patient. She is still on the vent, and most expressions are agitation because of it, but they say she’s breathing on her own. She just needs to be more alert, and pass a few tests before they remove it. It will be a long, slow process, and changes will more than likely be incremental. I’ll update again if there is a major change from this. She is already going to be upset at us for sharing as much as we have. 🙂

This is just a note from me personally. I have never been in a position like this before. No son wants to see his mother in this shape. When it’s someone else, you are one person offering what support you can, and then you go on with your day. When you’re the one receiving the support from so many, it’s absolutely overwhelming. We have felt the love and the prayers more than we could ever explain. Thank you all so much. You’ll never know what it means to us.

The southern gospel community is coming together in prayer for LeResa Trammell, wife of renowned gospel artist Mark Trammell. On Thursday, LeResa experienced a medical emergency at work, collapsing unexpectedly. She was swiftly transported by ambulance to the local hospital, where she became unresponsive shortly after arrival.

Mark Trammell shared an update on Facebook, detailing the harrowing experience. Initially, doctors suspected a stroke, but after extensive testing and a second CT scan, they ruled out any brain bleed. The final diagnosis revealed that LeResa is suffering from a severe case of viral meningitis, a condition that can mimic stroke symptoms in certain ways. To aid her recovery, she has been placed on a ventilator to allow her body to rest.

Mark and their son Nick have returned home to be by her side. LeResa is currently being airlifted to Birmingham for further treatment, and the family hopes to reunite with her upon her arrival.

The Trammell family is in need of support and prayers during this challenging time. The entire southern gospel community is encouraged to lift LeResa, Mark, Nick, and their loved ones in prayer as they navigate this difficult journey.

One can’t listen to Taranda Greene sing and not feel the very essence of this song – she is all about praising her Lord! As long as she’s been singing, PRAISE has been the cry of her heart.

The psalmist encourages us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, and when this powerhouse voice starts singing about Jesus, one can literally feel the joy that she’s experiencing!

Taranda is joined by Jason Hoard in her new release PRAISE. Jason brings that smooth tenor harmony. Our guess is that you’ll be singing right along with them!
