Gaither Music Group Congratulates Gloria Gaynor on GRAMMY Win

From the Gaither Music Group

Gaither Music Group is proud to congratulate legendary songstress Gloria Gaynor her GRAMMY® Award win on Sunday night.

Gaynor received a Best Roots Gospel Album GRAMMY for Testimony, her powerful new gospel album, as well as a Best Gospel Performance/Song Nomination for “Talkin’ ‘Bout Jesus,” a stirring gospel track featuring Yolanda Adams.

Since its release last summer, Testimony has been drawing praise for its collection of original inspirational songs and soulful hymns – from Gaynor’s powerful take on “Amazing Grace” to “Man of Peace,” her cover of the Bob Dylan classic. Recorded in Nashville’s iconic former RCA Studio A and released by Gaither Music, the album features a sensational lineup of talent alongside Gaynor, including special guests Jason Crabb, Mike Farris, and Bart Millard (MercyMe), as well as backup vocals from Latrese Bush, Melinda Doolittle, Jason Eskridge, and Emoni Wilkins.

“I am ecstatic and truly grateful to God for gifts and favor, to the Academy for this recognition and honor and to the Gaithers, Primary Wave and ‘Team Gaynor’ for their love, support, and expertise,” said Gaynor.

“We are honored to represent this gospel release from Gloria,” stated Paul Sizelove, president of the label. “Not only did she make a stellar recording, she created a work of art that celebrated her journey of faith through trials and triumphs. It has been a joy to partner with her and her team to share these songs with the world.”

Long known as the Queen of Disco, Gaynor won the only GRAMMY Award ever presented for Best Disco Recording for her 1978 song “I Will Survive.” In 2015, she was nominated for a Best Spoken Word Album Award for the audio recording of her motivational book We Will Survive: True Stories of Encouragement.

Classic song from The Greenes remastered and released

Greenes - HallelujahTexas Gospel Canada tonight added a new release from the Greenes to our music rotation. The song is actually a remastered classic from the group.

The Greenes were a highly sought-after, full-time touring group that regularly appeared at NQC and on Gaither Homecoming videos until Tony’s unexpected death in 2010.

“Heaven In The House” is from Hallelujah – the last project the group ever recorded and produced by the late Lari Goss. The song was personally chosen for radio by TaRanda’s husband, StowTown Records co-owner Landon Beene, because of its fun, upbeat nature and its classic “Greene’s sound.”

We hope you enjoy this glimpse from our genre’s heritage. We also hope you are encouraged by its timeless message about what happens when we choose to praise the Lord!

Massachusetts man awaits trial for setting two fires inside church building

A report filed by WHDH television shortly after the fire says the building sustained only moderate damage.

Triumphant Quartet’s first song of 2020

Triumphant - Yes - 2020StowTown Records today released the title track to Triumphant Quartet’s Yes project.

This uptempo song has a great message to start a new year. People are filled with hope and committed to various resolutions. Triumphant sings about Jesus saying “yes” to us when we first ran to Him for forgiveness.

“I am so grateful for that truth. Because the Lord said “yes” to me years ago when I ran to Him, I know I can confidently say “yes” to Him in whatever He asks of me in the year ahead,” said Ernie Haase of StowTown Records.
