Police in Houma, Louisiana are looking for a person who was caught on surveillance video vandalizing statues at a Catholic Church.
The statues have been at the church since the 1960’s. A police spokesperson said video shows a man lifting, then smashing the statues the morning of July 22.
Nothing was stolen during the criminal act.
Police do not know the man’s motives and have not yet determined his identity.

A congregation in Montgomery, Alabama has returned to its sanctuary eight months after an arsonist attempted to burn it down.

The church service began with the baptism of a young child who gave his life to Christ.
Federal authorities in the United States say Xiaoquin Yan, 27, set four fires inside the First Baptist Church of Montgomery on September 30, 2021. She’s now facing federal charges. If convicted on the federal charges, Yan faces a prison sentence of between 5-20 years in prison.
The church has served the Montgomery, Alabama area for nearly 200 years.

Friends and family of a well-loved Southern Gospel singer are preparing for a life celebration. Glen Allred, whose baritone voice was heard for decades with the Florida Boys, died on Thursday.
Glen was born in Monroe, Tennessee in 1934. By the time he was 16 he had begun played guitar for the Oak Ridge Quartet. In 1952 he began singing with the Gospel Melody Quartet. You most likely know them better by the name they began using years later: The Florida Boys.
Allred received a Singing News Fan Award for Favorite Baritone in 1971, and was inducted to the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2001. He stayed with The Florida Boys until they retired in 2007.
Funeral services are set for Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Investigators in Chippewa County Wisconsin say they have identified a possible suspect in multiple acts of vandalism to churches in and close to the city.
Cryptic messages were spray painted in red paint at the Church of Notre Dame on June 30. The next day similar vandalism happened at St. Charles Catholic Church and the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. That same day St. Peters Catholic Church in the near-by town of Tilden was targeted with similar vandalism.
Authorities say they are still looking for the man for questioning.
