Chosen Road will perform at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, according to the show’s first round of performer and presenter announcements.

Jonathan Buckner, founder, acoustic guitar, and bass, said the group is honored by the invitation. Buckner said he grew up watching the Dove Awards and remembers being drawn to moments when Southern Gospel or bluegrass acts took the stage.

“Man, it’s honestly kind of hard to put into words,” Buckner said. “I grew up watching the Dove Awards on TV, and I can remember sitting there as a kid watching some of my heroes on that stage.”

Buckner said he did not want to reveal details about the performance, but he said the group plans to highlight the range of bluegrass instrumentation.

“We really want to show people what can be done with bluegrass instrumentation,” Buckner said. “We love where the music came from, but we’re also really excited about where the music can go.”

Buckner said the group’s goal for the performance goes beyond the music itself.

“More than anything, at the end of the day, we just want to make much of Jesus, represent this music as well as we can, and enjoy a moment that we are incredibly grateful to have,” Buckner said.

The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
