God Provides for Those Who Give

AMY TURNER

Many people hesitate to give because they worry they will not have enough left for themselves. This fear comes from forgetting what God has already promised. Scripture tells us that the Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. God is the source of every resource.

If He is the One who creates and sustains life, then we can trust Him not to abandon those who choose generosity. The call to give is not about losing, but about trusting that God will continue to provide.

God enriches us in many ways so that we can use those blessings to be generous.

And my God will supply [a]all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Trusting God’s Timing and Direction

FLOYD ROGERS

Choosing to follow God’s way means living with purpose, not reacting on emotion or impulse. It requires us to act only when God leads, rather than pushing ahead on our own schedule. Consider Psalm 27:14, “Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. ” Waiting is not always easy—it can take inner strength and patience to stay still when we feel ready to move.

Obedience to God involves trusting that His timing is right, even when it feels slow. Often, doing nothing until He gives direction is the hardest thing to do. He will supply whatever is needed to carry out His plan. It may not include what we want, or think we need, because God sees the big picture more than we.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

God as the Shepherd We All Need

AMY TURNER

The opening words of Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd,” remind us that every person needs care. While some may claim they can manage alone, life shows that at different times we all rely on others. Parents, friends, doctors, teachers, and many others help meet our needs in different ways. These people are important, yet they can still make mistakes or fall short.

God is different. He never fails to provide what His people require. He gives guidance, protection, and correction. His care is not only for this life but also for eternity. Just as sheep depend on their shepherd, people depend on God to lead them. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11, NASB)

When we trust God as our shepherd, we find the care and direction no one else can fully give.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Finding Peace in God’s Care

AMY TURNER

Psalm 34:8–10 invites us to experience for ourselves how good God truly is. It tells us that those who trust in Him are blessed and cared for. The passage encourages all who honour God to trust that their needs will be met. Even strong creatures like young lions may go hungry, but those who look to God will not be left without what is truly good.

God understands exactly what we need, both for now and for eternity. He does not keep anything from us that would help our spiritual growth. While life may bring struggles, those hard times are never wasted—they are used by God for our eternal benefit.

David, who wrote these words, reminds us God’s people are always under His care. This does not mean we escape suffering, but it does mean everything we face has a purpose.

Philippians 4:19 tells us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” So let go of worry—our God is always good.
