Anthem Edition Unveils a Powerful New Anthem with “Graveyard”

Anthem Edition, once known as The Old Paths, has once again captured the attention of listeners with their latest release, “Graveyard.” This track marks a significant chapter for the group as it is their first new music since last year’s holiday album Here Comes Christmas and features their new tenor, Cameron Edens.

With “Graveyard,” Anthem Edition showcases a dynamic blend of classic Gospel storytelling and modern musical energy. The song, penned by Kenna Turner West and Mark S. Mathes, is a stirring celebration of the Resurrection, delivering a message of triumph over death. Lead singer Tim Rackley highlights that although the group may have undergone changes, their dedication to sharing the timeless story of Jesus Christ remains steadfast. “We’re singing a new song with a new name and lineup,” says Rackley, “but it’s about the same powerful God who conquered death, hell, and the grave.”

The group’s new single is a spirited declaration of faith, driven by a robust rhythm section and lively brass and piano accompaniment. The lyrics vividly recount the disbelief of Jesus’ followers after His crucifixion, leading to the triumphant revelation that He has risen:

Three days buried, His friends in disbelief
The Savior laid in the grave — oh, how could this be
They’d seen Him crucified, they watched Him die
But Someone said He’s risen and Jesus is alive

The refrain, “He ain’t in the graveyard, why seek ye among the dead,” is a powerful reminder of the victory over death that lies at the heart of the Christian faith.

Anthem Edition has been on a remarkable journey since their formation in 2003. Initially a trio, the group quickly evolved into a quartet, gaining widespread recognition and acclaim. Their 2012 album Right Now propelled them into the national spotlight, earning two #1 hits and a Singing News Fan Award for Favorite New Quartet. After a brief hiatus in 2015, the group returned to the stage in 2017 with renewed vigor. The recent addition of Andrew Utech on bass and Cameron Edens as the tenor has infused fresh energy into the ensemble.

Chris Allman shares about Greater Vision’s Legacy of Harmony and Hope

Greater Vision has been a cornerstone of Southern Gospel since December 1990 and continues to captivate audiences with their powerful message and harmonious blend today. The group has become the most awarded trio in Gospel music history since its beginning more than three decades ago.

The current lineup includes Chris Allman, Jon Epley, Rodney Griffin, and Gerald Wolfe on piano. Chris Allman, known as Gospel Music’s Favorite Tenor, is particularly significant to the group’s legacy, as he was part of the original lineup and is now in his second tenure with Greater Vision.

Reflecting on how it all began, Chris shares, “I kind of had the inside track because we were actually practicing at our church with the almonds that I sang with. And I heard tell from Savannah that there’s a new trio starting up. And it’s Mark and Gerald.” Recognizing an opportunity, Chris reached out to Mark, eager to be part of this new trio. “I got his number. I called Mark. He said, I would love to try out. And he said, well, we’re trying out this coming Monday,” Chris recalls. Despite the short notice, he was determined to make it to Morristown, Tennessee, a significant step for someone who had rarely ventured far from home. “Honestly, I don’t think I’d ever really left North Carolina or South Carolina,” Chris adds. His dedication paid off as he was “the first one to try out and then one of the last ones to come back and try out again.” The excitement of being chosen has stayed with him, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

Greater Vision’s influence extends beyond their recordings. They appear regularly on the InTouch television program, hosted by Dr. Charles Stanley, and the Gaither Gospel Video Series. Gerald Wolfe, the group’s founder, has also co-hosted Bill Gaither’s syndicated “Homecoming Radio” show, reaching nearly 3000 radio stations worldwide.

One of the group’s recent projects, “The Journey,” celebrates their enduring ministry with a mix of new songs and reimagined classics. Produced by Gerald Wolfe and Trey Ivey, and distributed by Daywind Records, the album is a testament to the group’s continued relevance and creativity in Gospel music.

Greater Vision’s latest song, “Your Healing Is On The Way,” adds to their legacy of inspiring and uplifting music. Sarah Davision of High Road and her husband Trevor are expecting their first child.

Sarah shared their excitement saying, “Trevor and I were so surprised and we are so blessed with a new little bundle of joy coming into our lives this December. And we appreciate everyone’s prayers. We are so, so excited.”

But don’t expect a fancy gender-reveal event.

“We’re not finding out if it’s a boy or girl. So that makes it kind of fun that we’re going to be surprised. And December truly can’t come fast enough. So thanks y ‘all for praying for us,” said Sarah.

Grant Gibson of Karen Peck & New River Welcomes Second Son, Harrison Scott Gibson

Karen Peck & New River’s Grant Gibson and his wife Susannah welcomed their second son into the world 17 August. Harrison Scott Gibson arrived at 5:22 p.m. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces and 19 and a half inches long. Grant says fatherhood has been a great blessing.

“Honestly, I love everything about it. I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been one of the best things that’s ever happened in my life. One of my favorite things to do is actually pick him up from school when I’m home, see that excitement. Most of the time, people aren’t that excited to see me, but he is. We have a fun. We go to the park, and I’ll take him places. His favorite thing to do is go to the aquarium in Atlanta, so we’ve done that a few times,” said Grant.

Harrison, Susannah, Grant and big brother, Oliver are all doing great!

Changes on the Horizon for the Inspirationals Quartet of Texas

Nashville, TN — Exciting developments are underway for the Inspirationals Quartet of Texas as they prepare for a dynamic Fall and Winter season. Known for their deep-rooted passion for gospel music and unwavering faith, the group is embracing a period of significant transition.

Ron Wills, the owner, manager, and baritone of the Inspirationals Quartet, recently announced a major change within the group. After over five decades of service, Ralph Green, who began as the pianist in 1972 before becoming the lead singer, is stepping down from his role. Wills expressed his gratitude for Green’s long-standing contributions, stating, “Ralph Green is one of the greatest singers in gospel music, and we were privileged to have him as part of the Inspirationals. His love for the Lord and his dedication to sharing his faith through music have left an indelible mark on our group.”

Reflecting on the changes, Green shared, “Fifty years with the Inspirationals Quartet—time really does fly. Some of the greatest memories of my life are tied to my time with the Inspirationals. I plan to continue serving with music as long as I have breath for it.”

As the group looks forward, Scott Brand will step in as the new lead singer. Brand, who has previously performed with notable groups like Gold City Quartet and The Perrys, is eager to join the Inspirationals. “I love quartet music and always will,” Brand said. “I’m excited to see what God has in store for this chapter of my life and to be on stage with such talented singers.”

Les Butler, producer for the Inspirationals Quartet and owner of REAL Southern Label, expressed his excitement about working with Brand. “Scott Brand is an incredible vocalist. I’ve been blessed to work with some of the best, and Scott is right at the top,” Butler said. “The Inspirationals Quartet of Texas is the next big thing in gospel music, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this journey.”

In the midst of these changes, the quartet is putting the finishing touches on their upcoming Christmas album, which is set to release in November. With a new chapter ahead, the Inspirationals Quartet is poised to continue making a powerful impact on the gospel music scene.
